We have just returned from a seven night stay at this property and would like to add to what has already been said in previous reviews about the standard and quality of this accommodation. The owners have done a magnificent job providing all mod cons in exceptionally clean and well appointed surroundings. We made full use of the kitchen and charcoal BBQ provided and enjoyed many long walks in the surrounding countryside. Whilst the property is in a rural location it is not remote. The coast and nearby towns are all within a forty minute drive or less. Best suited to a couple and couple with younger children. There is plenty of room for them to roam in safe and secure surrounds. No hesitation in recommending the property to anyone.

We just loved our tree weeks in this very nice cottage! The cottage is just great and very nicely located in a beautiful rural area, but not to far from Morlaix. We can just recommend it to everybody!!

We very much enjoyed our one-week stay in this lovely cottage. The owner met us with the keys and a most gracious welcome, which included a bottle of the local cidre. As the photos show, the cottage is very nicely appointed and tastefully decorated. As others have noted, the cottage is well-stocked with basics such as cooking oil, spices, and kitchen equipment, as well as soap for washing clothes and dishes. Located in a tiny hamlet with working farms all around, one could get a good sense of the calm pace of life in the country, yet larger towns were not far away. After a long day of ranging over the countryside, taking advantage of market day in Morlaix, or touring the Granite Rose coast, returning to the cottage for the evening was a most welcome capping of the day's activities. At night, the sky is fully displayed, as no lights obscure the view of the stars. The quiet is magnificent. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a lovely rural setting and a restful stay.

First, the property was exactly the one shown in online photos. I travel a lot, yet it`s not easy to find a place which is so clean, well kept and full of all imaginable facilities. All the necessary details you need to take care of the place/ washing liquids & powders/ were on spot. Fresh, nice smelling linen and the ambience of high sense of ecology should be mentioned here, too.The host was descreet, yet helpful and in the fridge a bottle of traditional cider was awaiting us. The location seemed attractive to me, a nice hideaway in the magic land of celtic woods, about 28 km from the sea and 20km from Morlaix- a very pleasant town. About 10 km from the property in Relec there is a restaurant listed in guidebooks but there are more restaurants and bars which are not written about and are v. good. I`m going to spend there some time once more, this time with kids. Important- car is necessary I RECOMMEND !!

We stayed here for a week in summer and loved it, was a little concerned about a lack of sofa from previous reveiws but they have taken this on board and there is now one installed in this gorgeous cottage. it's bigger than the photos suggest and beautifully furnished and appointed. the welcome basket a real treat. our 18 month old had a ball, she loved her room and playing in the back garden, having cows come to visit each morning and evening in the neigbouring field was an added bonus. it is very rural and you definitely need transport with few attractions other than morlaix within easy driving distance. but morlaix itself is a great place to visit and the surounding countryside is beautiful, so if you're after somewhere to relax, get away from it all and re-charge those batteries - this is it. the owners are lovely, non -intrusive but helpful. they are renovating the neighbouring property and visit it infrequently. most of the information on local sights etc is in french so you'll need to come ready armed if you're needing it in english. the tv only has french stations but does have a dvd player. it should be noted that the staircase is open sided with no rail so may not be suitable for some and young children need extra supervision, however these are minor quibbles. it really does live up to the pictures and was very comfortable to live in for the week we were there.

The photos on the site were so attractive we booked the gite on that alone, then were a little nervous that these may have been out of date, but it was just as attractive as shown. Warm welcome from the owner, very detailed instruction and attractions book for our information. The property is extreemly well maintained and cleaned, beds and furniture were very comfortable. It is not close to shops or eating places, but being very central it was easy for us to get out and see most of Finistere. We particularly used the free WiFi facility at the Hotel de la Lac nearby in Huelgoat, a remarkably well run eating place. Highlights for us were the remarkable North coast of Finistere and the delightfull city of Quimper. We would have no hesitation in recommending this gite and through association the other, larger, gite offered by this owner. This was the best of very many French holodays that we have enjoyed.

A wonderfully peaceful retreat, with only the rare countryside noise to punctuate the tranquility. This charming, sensitively restored cottage was well placed to explore an area of natural beauty. It was nice to walk around the nearby lanes but to reach any amenities a car was essential. On arrival, the owner was there to welcome us. She had thoughtfully stocked the kitchen with essential cooking staples. She was happy to provide us with useful information about the area and there were books and leaflets that we referred to for our daytrips. The rooms were clean and comfortable. All appliances were in very good working order. A working cd/radio provided entertainment - tv was local channels and no dvd. The rear garden was lovely, with a lean-to conservatory, pretty flowers and a view of rolling fields that lives long in the memory. Heat supplied by storage heaters at extra, reasonable cost and would be necessary for the colder months. We would recommend this property wholeheartedly and hope that you might enjoy your stay as much as we did. Richard and Elaine.

My husband & i rented this cottage for 2 weeks in June this year along with our then 14month old daughter. The cottage is beautiful, set in the peaceful Brittany countryside but still close to local amenities. the property is beautifully furnished, well equipped with a large private garden. The owner welcomed us and was very helpful and friendly. As it was our first holiday with our daughter we were a little anxious as to how it would all go but we need not have worried! We enjoyed an incredibly relaxing holiday and our daughter loved every minute of her stay and slept like a log every night. If you are looking for a relaxing "away from it all" break look no further, you will enjoy beautiful French countryside aswell as lovely beaches close by, we especially enjoyed the beach at Carantec. This cottage is perfectly located for exploring, we had a wonderful holiday and hope to return next year.
